The new Dawes Scenic electric hybrid bike is a more minimalist version of the popular Dawes Spire range – designed with a town and city rider in mind while still allowing you to take the more scenic route home.
The Scenic has an integrated 375wh battery that delivers up to 40 miles/64km of range and can be charged from flat in 5 hours – either with the battery installed on the bike or removed using the provided keys for improved safety and convenience. The added security of a key lock for the battery gives you peace of mind when parked up in a public place.
The bike is powered by the well-regarded Bafang rear hub motor system to deliver 32nm of torque, making light work of hills and make powering along the flat ground a breeze. Select from 5 different power modes depending on how much assistance you want using the sleek and easy to use handlebar display which also shows the current battery level and speed. We’ve also fitted a walk assist mode that engages the motor to help drive the bike when pushing up steeper hills.
The Scenic is equipped with 1×7 speed Shimano Altus gear components with trigger shifter for definitive shifting, and low maintenance cable disc brakes for powerful braking in even the worst of conditions. The Innova Roadrunner 700x45c have puncture protection for peace of mind and the contact points are comfort orientated, with ergonomically shaped lock-on grips and a soft Selle Royal Freeway saddle.
The Scenic comes fully equipped as standard with a pannier rack and full-length mudguards to keep you as dry and clean as possible during the wetter seasons and kickstand for when you arrive at your destination.
The Dawes Scenic is about getting from A to B quickly while still enjoying the buzz of riding an electric bike.
